Here we are – the pointy end of the stick!
Two great games for the semi finals and really, both games could go either way.
I watched the Chiefs against the Hurricanes the other week and was very impressed. If they can keep their nerve, they will win.
My score prediction is Chiefs – 24, Hurricanes 21
As for the Bulls versus the Crusaders, again a very hard game to pick but I have to give the home side a chance.
If its dry, the Bulls will score lots of points, something the Crusaders have struggled with this year.
I give it to the Bulls, 35 -25

After 14 weeks of Super 14 rugby, the final standings have been determined.
The top 4 places go to the Bulls (SA), Chiefs (NZ), Hurricanes (NZ) and Crusaders (NZ).
The NSW Waratahs missed out on 4th spot on points difference from the Crusaders – only a few points separated the two teams.
Next week the Bulls host the Crusaders whilst the Chiefs host the Hurricanes.

Again nothing stands out as having good value. For spread bets, the Lions look reasonable at +10, and the Brumbies might be worth consideration at +8 but its a pretty lean weeekend.

How can you pick a winner from this mess?
As each week progresses, the results become more of a raffle.
No Best Bet for the win – too unpredictable, however some spread bets look useful.
The Highlanders at +8 have appeal, the Bulls at +3.5 and the Crusaders at +6.5 all look good.
Based on previous weeks form, I would also suggest that the under in games involving NSW and the Stormers looks a solid bet at the moment as neither side knows how to score.
